Updates! Get'cher updates here!
November 5th, 2009 - The closing of YahooGeoCities also means the closing of my original web site, Emma's Home Town. I took down that link and slightly updated the main page. - Updated and revised the Walk in the Park page to remove the one GeoCities site and fix one of the freelance writing links.
August 6th, 2009 - Fixed the WebKinz Links and added the Scooby Doo Movieverse story I wrote in 2002, Strangers In the Night.
I also removed the "Music Room," "Movie Room," and "Book Shelf" listings from the front page. I've finally acknowledged that I'm probably never going to get around to doing those pages...and my blog and Facebook page cover my interests far better. This site is now strictly for my stories, recipes, links of interest, and essays.
July 10th, 2009 - Yahoo!GeoCities is closing on October 26th. I'm going to gradually move most of the content from my original site, Emma's Home Town, to The Riverside Rest. I moved three essays I wrote in 2003 to On the Front Porch and fixed the link to the essay Femininity. Also added a link to my Facebook page.
- I also updated, revised, and added to the A Walk In the Park links page, dropping dead links and adding links for Remember WENN and WebKinz. Links for some of my other recent interests coming soon!
June 18th, 2007 - A new section, "On The Front Porch," debuts with an essay I wrote for a contest but never sent, and there's a new recipe in The Kitchen, this one opening the Desserts page!
June 15th, 2007 - Long time, no post! "The Kitchen" is now home to low-fat recipes I've created myself after joining Weight Watchers in mid-May. Tell me what you think of them...but as usual, no flames, please!
February 11th, 2007 - I was insulted by idiot boys leaning out of a car coming home tonight, and I felt horrible. To cheer myself up (and help others who, whether children or adults, have been hurt like this), I wrote and posted "Be Careful, Words Can Hurt" at the Children's Shelf.
January 31st, 2007 - My longest "Perfect Strangers" fanfic, "The Crimson Eagle," is now avalble in The Sitting Room. Coming soon - unfinished Sailor Moon fanfics and short fanfics for "Perfect Strangers" and "The Monkees!"
January 30th, 2007 - Massive links updates and additions. Look for more updates in the coming months!
